EDITING YOUR BOOK

If you want me to edit your book, I will need to know:

• what sort of editing you require (see: what sort of edit do I need?)
• how much you need edited (i.e., the entire manuscript, parts of it, only the first draft)
• whether you want corrections and suggestions marked on a paper copy or online, or both
• if there are any specific problems you want me to watch for

If you prefer, I can start by editing a chapter or a section (minimum 10 pages) so we can both get an idea of what to expect. I will need payment in advance (minimum $200; the total estimate will be based on the length and complexity of the work). I will provide you with a detailed report and flag anything you can take care of before going any further.
