Sometimes you have
a great idea for a book or lots of great material that you
want to put into a book, but you don’t have the time
and/or the ability to actually write it. This is where a ghostwriter
comes in.
A ghostwriter writes
under someone else’s name with their consent. Sometimes
a ghostwriter will receive partial credit, signified by “with”
or “as told to”, or as a “thanks”
in a foreword or introduction.
Just because a book
is ghostwritten does not necessarily mean that the credited
author did not make a significant contribution to the work.
A ghostwriter might be employed to polish and edit existing
material, or to work directly with the credited author to
shape the book from start to finish.
Alternatively, you
may want to collaborate with a writer on your manuscript where
we merge our skills to take your book to publication –
you with the content, knowledge and ideas, and me with the
writing, editing and publication liaison skills.
If you want
me to ghostwrite your book, or collaborate with you in the
writing of your book, then we need to talk at length (words@jennygates.com
or +1-204-228-9959) to make sure it is a good fit
for both of us and that we can identify a mutually effective
schedule and list of expectations. All work and work product
will be kept strictly confidential.
Artful Deception: If
ghostwriters are indispensable, why are they so invisible?
